For the past three months there has been talk of new desks in the office. The ones we've been using are circa 1968 (or older). The desks were scheduled to arrive mid-October. Mid-October came and went with no new desks. Today, the desks arrived. We now have three HUGE desks with four file drawers each. At the moment I would say they are not functional and apparently what arrived was not what was ordered. There were to be two file drawers and three smaller drawers for pens, post-it notes and other important items (like my triscuit and peanut butter stash). Also, there is no keyboard tray so I have to jack my chair up really high so I can reach the keyboard on top of the desk. Hopefully the error will be corrected soon but I took some pictures of my new work space.

On top of my monitor are two happy meal toys; Albert Einstein (from
Night at the Museum 2) and Joker (from
The Dark Knight) and a little toy soldier. I also have Halloween stickers on the back . The apple on the desk is fake (it's a stress ball).

You even have a cardigan on your chair like a real librarian...AW! Did I spot a few cat hairs on that sweater???
