On this official first day of winter I wanted to post some pictures of trees--with their fall leaves. Okay, in all honesty this post is about 10 days later than I intended but things have been a little hectic. I've moved again and today was my very last car load of items from my apartment. Back to those trees.
This one is from my Mom's front yard.
This is from a bank in my Mom's neighborhood.
This one is outside the library where I work.
And this is possibly my most favorite tree on the planet (what little bit I've seen). It's also from my Mom's neighborhood and I love to look at this tree. It is so tall and round and has so many vibrant leaves every year.
I'm in week two of my three week vacation from work for the holidays. The first week was spent packing and moving and this week should be more relaxing. I've already purchased, wrapped and shipped Christmas gifts so that's no longer a worry. I finished all the Diary books by Amanda Grange. Mr. Darcy, Captain Wentworth and Colonel Brandon were the best and Edmund Bertram was the worst. I started
Twenties Girl by Sophie Kinsella yesterday so I hope it will be a fun book to read on my break. I'm also learning to play chess and I really like it. I was very intimidated by it when I was a child and just stuck with checkers but I think now that I'm approaching 30 I can give it a whirl. Maybe a viewing of
Avatar will be in my future this week as well.
