Milky Way

No, this is not a glorious post about the galaxy. This (very ridiculous) post is about candy bars. George Carlin once said that life is a series of dogs. How wise. My life could be categorized in such a way (except I didn't get my first dog until I was 12). My life is really just a series of candy bars. First, there was the nestle Crunch bar. This was my favorite candy bar all through middle school and some of high school. Then I moved on to the double enjoyment of the Twix bar. This has been a return staple in my life. It was a favorite in high school and college and I still gravitate towards them from time to time. After college and while earning my master's I moved on to the Snickers bar. This was my go-to bar for many years. Lately, it's been all about the Milky Way bar. I even love the dark chocolate Milky Way bar. If you haven't tried the ice cream candy bars, you are really missing out.


I don't really know what prompted this self-discovery. I've been "dieting" for several weeks now and I may be getting a little nostalgic for junk food. I do allow myself a break on the weekends but it's difficult to eat candy bars all day and all the other junk I've been missing. The snack size bars, or fun size, are great if you need variety. I wonder which candy bar will have the honor of becoming my favorite bar next.
