Halloween Pusher

Our new book display cart arrived a few weeks ago. Just in time for a spectacular Halloween themed display. I spent several hours pulling all the scary, spooky, ghoulish and Halloweenie books I could find. Our evening peeps spent that night putting everything together.



These are some images from those creepy Scary Stories books. I embellished them a little with the help of Publisher.

This is our additional display space. I love the little ghosts the most.

I also thought giving away candy would get students in the Halloween spirit. We use these stickers to make spine labels. I slapped them on the candy.
I added little pumpkins, bats, cats, spiders, witches, and Halloween messages to each sticker.


We placed this in the main student center.
I hoped the "advertising" would encourage students to visit the library but that may have been bit too ambitious. They know we have a library, at the very least. On Thursday I'll be placing a third bowl out. The candy usually disappears within hours. I also made a slide show promoting our book collection for our new TV. It was really fun to put together. Several of the books have been checked out, more than last year. I'm so proud of our collected efforts.
