Snow Day

Snow is a rare thing when living in Georgia. Luckily, I have experienced the joy of seeing snow fall the past three years. On Friday snow fell in plump flakes early in the evening. My friend and I took Sandi out to play but she was understandably confused. Her first few steps were rather trepidations after slipping on the ice on the deck.
She couldn't find her frisbee in the snow but seemed to relax after several minutes and even had a little fun. She's the brown smudge in the middle of the snow covered yard.

I took a few pictures the next day as the sun was rising. I had an appointment in Macon later and I was a little worried about the ice but everything was pretty safe by noon.

My new car even looks cute in the snow!

We enjoyed the fire during the cold weekend. In other pleasant news, I picked up my girl scout cookies today. Yum! Gotta love those Samoas. I also watched The Lovely Bones which was a huge disappointment but I thought The Princess and the Frog was adorable. I'm reading Splendid Slippers. It discusses the Chinese tradition of foot binding. The topic is equal parts grotesque and fascinating. I'm also reading The Shack and I really hope I can see Percy Jackson and/or Shutter Island this weekend.

I really want to see Percy Jackson too. Thanks for recommending those books, so fun.
