The blue recliner on the left and the brown/green couch to the right are getting the boot. My treadclimber (which you can see a hint of on the far left) will be staying but may move to a different spot or room. I've had the treadclimber since last October or November and I use it about once or twice a week. It's a lot harder than it looks in the commercials and I'm certainly not smiling while I'm on it. When I first tried it I couldn't go five minutes without sweating profusely. I was only able to make it three more minutes without crying. Now I'm up to forty minutes and I still sweat a lot but I don't want to dump the machine in the lake anymore. Speaking of the lake, here's a conversation Jeff and I had about what to do with the old furniture.
We actually throw lots of stuff over the fence, usually overripe fruit or old bread, stuff the local wildlife can enjoy. We don't have neighbors on either side of our fence so it works well. I'm so ready to have new furniture in our living room but things will still look a little off. The brown rug you see with green leaves does not match the new stuff and it does not match my vision for our future living room. I hope we can move to our own place this year and if we were to have a larger living room then I would need to purchase a larger rug. So, rug purchasing will be on hold. My soon-to-be-upholstered velvet swivel chair will be thrown in the mix one day, too.The fabric arrived over the holidays and it's soooo luxurious. I can't wait to see it on a chair. I'll take some pictures this weekend of the new furniture. Jeff said Remy really likes it and he's already peed on all the legs and eaten two biscuits on the seat cushions. Wonderful.
