Pinterest Pledge {craft}

I cut it really close to my deadline this month but I still "made" it. This craft idea didn't come with any instructions or how-to-do-it-know-how but the picture provided gives enough direction I think.
The picture appears to be glass free but I wanted to do the shadow box approach and I happened to have an unused one in my craft closet. I went to Hobby Lobby last weekend for background paper and some rocks. Yes, I bought rocks. We don't have many little pebbles around the house and the ones I did see were in other peoples' yards--don't want to get arrested for the sake of making cute wall art. I didn't really know which combination of paper colors would work best so I bought four--the whole project cost me about $8. I stopped by the mailbox to collect some sticks, measured and cut my background paper, sorted my rocks, and started gluing.
The most time consuming portion was sorting the rocks into color piles that I might want to use. Here's what I ended up with.
The rocks on the right have a rose tint, the middle rocks are black, and the left rocks are beige. The boarder background is indigo and the main background is plain old white. Jeff was sweet and hung it in the hallway when he got home.
He said, "Is that a temptress thing?" Why yes, I use my rock sorting and gluing skills to tempt men. He corrected himself a few seconds later and got it right, "Is that a Pinterest thing?" Why yes, yes it is.
