Shop 'Til You Drop

I took Friday off and had a lovely 3-day weekend. My free Friday was spent visiting and shopping with Barbara. We got our toes did, dined out for lunch and dinner, and shopped, and shopped, and shopped. We went to Crate & Barrel, HomeGoods, Pottery Barn, William Sonoma, H&M, and a few other accessory shops. I did buy a few things, not as much as I wanted but probably more than I should have. Here are some things that caught my eye.
These two coffee tables at Crate & Barrel were beautiful.

I love the herringbone style on the left table and the one on the right was beautifully detailed but a little too long in my opinion. I thought this leather chair (lower left) was very simple but very comfortable and all leather. It would go great with this desk.
Sorry about the poor photos. The lighting in the showroom was terrible. I tried to take a picture of a pillow in three different places and they all came out crappy. This couch could look nice and cozy and I loved the feather artwork.
Aren't these pillows fun?
I actually bought the navy (the one in front--it looks black and grey in the picture but it's navy) and the orange. Like Barbara said, it's hard to find houndstooth and plaid and I totally agreed. I thought about it a little and then went back a second time to buy them. They'll look great in the new house. We went to lunch at Jason's Deli after that and I had a lovely salad, cornbread, and a free ice cream cone! Love that place. After that we hit the mall and went to Pottery Barn. I found a few nice things there but mostly just walked around wishing I made more money. I was attracted to several lamps and pillows.
I like the size of the kilim, too much red and pink for my taste but still beautiful. The leather pillow and white sweater pillow were also eye catching.
I just bought a new glass lamp from Target. With the shade and base it cost $70 which is pricey to me. The awesome glass table lamp on the left is $180. It looks like I got a deal at Target. The pulley lamp on the left was really neat and it's priced at $329. Then I saw these cool tripod spotlight lamps and noticed something after I took the picture.
It says Naval by Sherwin Williams. That's the color of the backdrop wall and the color of my lower kitchen cabinets--when I get around to that project. I didn't buy a swatch of that color to test, I just went by the paint chip and seeing it on that big wall made me feel even better about my choice. We passed this cute as could be mini cupcake stand on our way to Hallmark.
I wanted to buy about 50 of them and you literally could eat them in one bite. We went to HomeGoods at some point but I can't remember if it was before the mall or after the mall. I bought some cute containers for doggie treats. We headed to Joann Fabrics as they were having a huge sale. I didn't buy anything but I did make a purchase the next day online and got a beautiful, expensive fabric for 75% off. I've got fun plans for that fabric. We had dinner at Ted's because Barbara and I love Ted's. Great food, great atmosphere, very friendly service, and strawberry shortcake. After dinner we visited a few stores at the Avenue shopping center (which I don't think it's called that anymore but that's what it was when I lived in Lawrenceville). We stepped in a new shop called American Threads that had clothing and accessories. I was about 10 years too old and 40 pounds to heavy to buy any of the clothes but I did buy a expensive fun wallet.
They also sold some very humorous gum boxes, notepads, and these gems.
I think these two were my favorites.
They were expensive so I didn't buy any but I sure had a good chuckle. I'm off to Myrtle Beach tomorrow with my sister and I cannot wait! It's a long drive but I'll have four full days of beach, reading, and miniature golf--the best combination for relaxation.
