Lake Lanier Islands Resort

This past weekend I visited my fun and vivacious friend Consuela. We had fun chatting and catching up (since we haven't seen each other in over a year), eating good food and exploring Lake Lanier Islands Resort.

We attended a 2pm canopy tour (not a homemade zip line so no immediate fear of contracting flesh-eating bacteria) which was supposed to be at noon but we got lost. When we finally did make it to the canopy tour office we filled out our paper work and got back in the car to drive around and look at the resort. This sweet doggy relaxed in the office while everyone went out to play in the heat.

Lake Lanier Islands has a water park, camp grounds, an equestrian walk, golf course, cabins, restaurants, and of course the lake with beaches.

We had fish tacos here that were very good but we may have eaten a little too much for our activity.

The tour was two hours, shorter than my last zip line adventure but still very fun. And...they had a photographer on this one to take pictures as you fly through the air with the greatest of ease.

It was a fun trip on a warm day. Next up is white water rafting (or that's what Consuela says). I also saw Dark Shadows this weekend. It wasn't as funny as I had hoped and the music was not my taste but it was a fun way to spend part of the afternoon.
