Limahuli Botanical Garden

This was also one of the activities we had a hard time booking, believe it or not. Jeff is a bit of a plant lover and Brookgreen Gardens in South Carolina is one of my most favorite places on the planet. Imagine my excitement when I discovered a botanical garden with sculptures very close to our condo. We were running out of days and I really wanted to visit Na Aina Kai, home of Joyce Doty (millionaire and ex-wife of Peanuts comic strip creator Charles Shulz). I called Friday morning to see if we could go for a tour. The last tour went that morning at 9am, I called at 10am. They were closed for the weekend for a wedding. Blast! This blog post has some great pictures but for me it's a poor substitute. We were able to take a self-guided tour at Limahuli Garden.

It wasn't very expensive and it took a little over an hour. Very beautiful and a nice way to enjoy part of our last day on the island.
