Shopping Like Sherry

Sherry who, you ask? Why, Sherry Pertersik of course. She and her hubby, or her BFF Katie Bower are always doing little shopping trips where they take pictures of items and then try to envision a room or setting where that item would fit perfectly. There's a new store in Warner Robins called The Warehouse. Mom and I visited on Saturday and I saw many interesting things. Then I got the bright idea to snap photos and blog about them later, just like Sherry! The store has something for everyone. I wouldn't say the curtains or most of the pillows were my style but they had oodles of rugs and artwork that I gravitated toward. Here's what I found:
I like this bedding. It had a pretty pattern but in a neutral color palette. This would be nice for a guest bedroom. Or for a house that didn't have pets with muddy paws.
This hideous bar stool was part of a set. They were blocking this rather functional and attractive bench...
This bench would be ideal for a small entry way or part of a mudroom design. The drawers weren't the best quality but there is room below to store baskets.
I loved this fabric, especially the herringbone detail (I think you have to enlarge the photo to see that). I might have to return to grab this small scrap. It came with a pack of similar patterned and colored fabrics. This would make a lovely pillow with a plain fabric for the back.
This glass bowl is one of two versions, they also had a larger one. It would be great for entertaining.
I love this green rug. If Sandi's room didn't have carpet this would be a perfect addition to the decor already in place.
This grey rug was beautiful. I would love to have this in our living room. It totally doesn't match but it matches the color palette I see in my head for future changes.
This was a pretty ikat rug. It would be nice for a dining room or office. It wasn't as plush as the other rugs.
This color is a little intense, I know, but the design is lovely and very trendy right now.
I love the color and playful pattern of this rug. It would look great in a kids bedroom or playroom.
I wasn't crazy about the pillow choices but this one is so "sophisticated beach house" which all of us dream of having one day.
This is a map of New York City, with my mom in the reflection. I didn't care for the frame at all but Ikea is just a short drive away. I think my Uncle Jimmy would like this.

This airplane picture is so cute. My brother loved airplanes when he was little and this would have been great for his bedroom. It's a piece of art that speaks to a kid-like hobby without looking childish.
I love this whale picture and the frame is actually nice on this one. This would also work nicely in a kids room.
This was my favorite artwork. I may have to return for this one. This would also be great in that dream beach house I mentioned. I love blueprints of homes and the navy background with this blueprint is the icing on the cake for me. So that's it. Those are all the goodies I found during our short visit. The prices were pretty good, especially for the rugs. I think rugs of the same size are at least $30-$50 more at Target.

Gee, when do you start your design show? That was a fun trip. We should do it again. I still need that new picture in the reno bathroom.

I love that bench!!! Painted a fun color it would be so cute for an entryway! Whenever we have a house of our own you will be on my list to call for decor tips!
